Bifold window 2026 singapore

Bifold Window (Slide and Fold Window)

Bifold Window (also known as slide and fold window) is one of the most popular windows in 2026. A bifold window consists of multiple window panels that move along a track. It is approved to install at your HDB, condo or landed homes. Enjoy panoramic views and a five-year warranty.

Bifold Window (Slide & Fold Window): Unobstructed Views

A bifold window, also known as a slide and fold window or folding window, opens by folding connected glass panels neatly towards the side. It creates a wider opening than conventional windows, allowing more ventilation and a wider outdoor view. It is one of ZGH Aluminium’s best-selling window types in 2026.

ZGH Aluminium customises and installs bifold windows for suitable HDB flats, condominiums and landed homes. Choose the panel layout, frame finish and glass according to your opening.

What Is a Bifold Window?

A bifold window consists of multiple window panels that move along a track. The panels fold against one another and stack at one or both ends of the frame.

How Does a Bifold Window Operate?

Fold the window and guide the connected panels along the track. The window panels fold in pairs and stack on the left, right or both sides.

Bifold windows commonly use an even number of panels, subject to the system, opening and safe panel dimensions. We demonstrate the correct operating sequence during handover.

Benefits of Bifold Windows

  • Wider opening & unobstructed view: Fold the panels aside to open most of the window area and enjoy a panoramic look.
  • Brighter space & ventilation: A larger opening brings more natural light and ventilation into the room.
  • Aesthetic appeal: Frame the outdoor view beautifully and enjoy it comfortably with a cup of tea or coffee.
  • Easy cleaning: Folding the panels makes the glass accessible from inside.

What Makes ZGH’s Slide and Fold Window Different?

  • Close to Zero-gap when folded: Panels sit flushed together at the side for a clean & compact appearance.
  • Greater sound insulation: Designed for stronger noise reduction than a standard window when properly closed.
  • Flush latches: Latches sit within the frame instead of protruding, making it flushed and aesthetic.
  • Five-year warranty: Every ZGH bifold window comes with a five-year warranty.
  • HDB-compliant installation: Works are handled by our BCA Approved Window Contractor team listed with HDB, subject to approval and property requirements.

Bifold Window vs Other Window Types

  • Bifold window: Panels stack neatly at the side, creating an unobstructed panoramic view.
  • Standard sliding windows: Panels overlap inside the frame, leaving part of the opening blocked.
  • Casement window: Each panel remains attached to a fixed hinge and frame position.

Where Can I Install The Bifold Windows?

  • Living rooms: Create a panoramic view and brighter common area.
  • Balconies: Connecting indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • Service yards and kitchens: Increase ventilation while keeping out rain when closed.
  • Bedrooms: Fold the panels aside for stronger airflow.
